Montreal-based design firm Future Simple Studio has created the design of the Sushibox restaurant in Quebec City, Canada. The minimally decorated space is defined by white oak materials paired with textured concrete. The newly renovated space complements the menu developed by chef Patrick Landry. It features strong lines that are subtly contrasted by natural textures and tones.
The studio notes, "With geometric shapes, elemental materials, and handcrafted details, the transportive design allows the colours and textures of the cuisine itself to shine. Here, design and food unite to create an exceptional sensory experience." The space also caters to pick-up orders and it can be collected from a black-topped concrete counter with painterly accents by artist Zian Miscioscia.
