The Survivalist: Adapting to Change collection has been designed by Emi Tanimura as a transforming fashiin range for those experiencing homelessness to help brave the elements more readily. The collection includes the Tent Trench that would provide wearers with a protective garment for braving inclement weather, which could then transform into a place to rest at night. This is achieved thanks to built-in inflatable poles that eliminate the need to carry around heavy hardware to keep the tent in place.
The Survivalist: Adapting to Change collection is achieved using deadstock fabrics and additional technical materials like GORE-TEX in order to make them waterproof, anti-tear and resistant to UV wear while still maintaining breathability. The garment designs would also accommodate the needs of those preparing for emergencies.
