Hailing from South Korea, Jang creates manipulated and twisted versions of 18th century furniture. Due to her lack of space in her tiny, cramped apartment, she was inspired to make furniture that would fit in tight spots. As Jang says, “My work represents who and where we are as human beings: in the midpoint of that constant struggle between reality and the ideal.”
