When it comes to electric bicycles, the Strom Bike is a bit atypical. Most electric bikes either try to look as much like regular bikes as possible or strive to be ultra-compact and futuristic. The Strom Bike doesn't do that. It's beefy on purpose, weighing in at 54 pounds and sporting big 3-inch tires. There are two batteries on offer, one with a top speed of 15 mph and another that will push the Strom Bike to 20 mph. Riders can adjust the level of electric assist, with the bike offering a max range of 50 miles per charge.
The Strom Bike comes with its own gauge cluster of sorts which displays information such as battery level, the level of electric assist and the current speed. The Danish creators of the Strom (Strom means "electric" in Danish) have taken to Indiegogo to fund their new electric bike. Currently a contribution of $899 to the campaign is good enough to secure a Strom.
