The Dune House is an opulent vacation home located in the island of Terschelling in the northern Netherlands and designed by Dutch firm Marc Koehler Architects. This luxury home is not to be confused with the other Dutch creation of the same name, and comprises a total floor space of 180 square meters with two main floors and a massive basement. This home is an example of sustainable design and defers aesthetically to its surrounding landscape, rising as it does like a diamond sticking out of the sand.
The house is built around dunes and is inspired by the experience of strolling through dunes, walking from dune to dune and going up and down in search for the best view of the sea.
