Striiv is a small and sleek fitness device that can turn walking, climbing and running into fun.
But what motivates users to part take in these fitness routines? Apart from the obvious health benefit, the Striiv fitness device has tools like built-in games, opportunities to donate and personal goals to motivate the users to be active throughout the day. Striiv has a special Trumotion technology, which is always on, and measures the users activity throughout the day, including steps taken, stairs climbed and distance covered. All of this can be seen on a small color touchscreen.
A special feature called Walkathon in the pocket enables users to donate their steps to a charity via Globalgiving, an organization that supports over 1000 causes, including a day’s worth of drinking water for a child in Africa or polio vaccination, and even saving the Tanzanian rain forest.
Striiv fitness device also has a game called MyLand (like Farmville), in which users create an island and can add plants or wildlife to it. However, they need energy to do that, and that can only come from walking around. There are many other features which make this device more fun, and all these are based on distance walked and energy burned.
Striiv is a great device to motivate and measure fitness.
