London-based photographer Derek Man has spent the last two years capturing the less glamorous, but no less intriguing, aspects of his city with this street curb photography series titled 'No Stopping Mon-Sat.'
Using the street curb as his backdrop, the photographer presents an aerial view of the seemingly random and surreal debris that any big city resident will become accustomed to given enough time. Everything from forgotten toilets, piles of vomit, abandoned birthday cakes to morbid portraits of various animal roadkills are put on full display to the viewer.
While this photo project may seem a bit bleak or grim, these macabre street portraits are at times almost comical in their stark display. They become a reminder of the often grim but always intriguing realities of living in an urban landscape.
