The Stanford Mobile Phone Orchestra (MoPho for short, get it?) is my latest nerdaliciously clever musical find. These tech-savvy students take plain old mobile phones and mod them into chamber instruments.
This isn't chiptune music by any means. Watch the video above, where the Stanford Mobile Phone Orchestra takes on 'Stairway to Heaven' by Led Zeppelin. You can see the musicians blow into their modified cell phones to make them produce sound. Fascinating.
Implications - Re-purposing is a great business venture since it raises awareness about recycling and is a way to remain environmentally friendly by reusing old items. Eco-friendly lifestyle choices are being seen in every facet of the business world and companies would be wise to incorporate green living options into their business strategy.
