The multinational German sports clothing and accessories corporation Adidas recently released images of its newest line of running shoes called the Springblade Razor trainers, fitted with blade-like springs protruding from the soles.
The newest running shoes come with 16 blades, made from special engineered plastic that are organized in pairs at the bottom of each sole. With two larger 'blades' at the back of each trainer, the blades compress as the wearer runs and springs right back to increase the speed of the runner by propelling the foot forwards.
The body of the trainer wraps around the runner's foot like a sock, securing the foot in place while promoting air flow within the shoe.
The Springblade Razor line comes in four different colors; Metallic Silver/Black/Light Scarlet, Black/Tech Grey Metallic/ Light Scarlet, Light Scarlett/Black/Metallic Silver and Solar Blue/Tech Grey Metallic/Black. The trainer will also have three different colors for women; Bahia Pink/Metallic Silver/Black, Solar Blue/Tech Grey Metallic/Black and Black/Black/Vivid Berry.
