'Spotluck' Gives Out Discounts to Local Restaurants with a Spin

Between all the food delivery apps and great local restaurants available to the average consumer, deciding where to eat out can leave hungry patrons consumed by the paradox of choice, but the Spotluck app is a new service that helps to eliminate that uncertainty. The app offers diners big discounts for eating in at local restaurants, and it takes all the indecision out of the equation by picking the restaurant for users through a fun, roulette-style spin.

Spotluck doesn't offer countless dine-in discounts for every user. On the contrary, diners get a single discount per day at a randomly selected restaurant. The app has hundreds of partner restaurants in scores of neighborhoods across nearly a dozen US cities, and after entering one's location and cuisine preferences, users get to spin a digital wheel to find out where they'll get their daily discount. This system not only introduces users to new restaurants near them, but it gives restaurants a way to find new patrons.
