Elverys Intersport's sport commercial covered all its bases by presenting an uplifting story and a celebrity endorsement.

The Irish sports retail brand chose to create a Christmas advertisement that featured the topic of sports at the forefront. In the commercial, a young boy is seen sitting on the sidelines as the rest of his soccer team plays. On Christmas day the child receives a pair of Nike shoes from his parents and then is finally asked by his coach to join the game. Once on the field, the child is "transformed" into his soccer idol Aidan O'Shea, who makes an appearance in the commercial. The advertisement is accompanied by a "#magicboots" hashtag to further promote the company.

The uplifting sport commercial works to make the viewer invested in the child's story, ensuring that the brand's identity is in the forefront and packs its final punch with a celebrity endorsement. All of these angles accompanied by the use of a hashtag ensures that the advertisement has as much of an impact as possible.
