The Speed Up Bag Holds Your Stuff Without Holding You Back
Michael Hines — February 5, 2014 — Lifestyle
Cyclists who can't stand to leave home without their jacket, wallet, phone or snacks will want to take a long look at the Speed Up Bag. This literally named bicycle accessory was created by Slovenian inventor Joze Petkovsek. In addition to lowering your drag coefficient, the Speed Up Bag can also hold up to four liters of stuff.
Four liters may not sound like a lot, but consider the fact that serious cyclists want to have as little as possible holding them down, meaning wallets, phones and keys can't be worn on the body. Petkovsek says the Speed Up Bag lowers air resistance by 15 percent and can increase cycling times by up to six percent. He is currently seeking $20,000 of funding on Indiegogo, with a pledge of $269 needed to secure one for yourself.
