The Sony LF-S50G is a new smart speaker device that harnesses the power of the Google Assistant. With this smart speaker, users are able to use the "OK Google" command to ask for weather updates, information on traffic, as well as control the smart temperature and lighting systems of their home. The speaker also includes a built-in digital clock display as well.
In terms of how Sony is differentiating its device from Google Home, the LF-S50G is said to boast a superior sound quality, a splash-proof design that's ideal for the kitchen, as well as the ability to recognize gesture controls for playing music, skipping tracks or making adjustments to the system's volume.
Like this new third-party device from Sony, Panasonic recently released its own smart speaker with the Google Assistant built in.
