Britain's hedgehogs are in danger and there's only one creature who can help his fellow prickly friends - Sonic the Hedgehog.
To save the nation's hedgehogs from deaths by car, and celebrate the release of his new game Sonic Colours, video game maker Sega has stepped in with a new version of Sonic the Hedgehog, creating the world's first dedicated hedgehog road crossing.
Complete with a lollipop lady, the crossing has been bravely road tested by four heroic hedgehogs in a danger spot in Twickenham, London.
Research revealed Britain’s hedgehogs have declined by a third in the past ten years and the East of England is the worst area hit.
