Kosuke Tsumura designs the Solament jacket, which is a unique down-less down silhouette. This is the first project by the designer that brings attention to the silhouette's transparent nature and functionality. The name Solament is a blend of 'solar' and 'element' as it is crafted from near-infrared ray absorbing nanoparticles.
The material soaks the rats which are present in the sunlight and then uses this to generate heat. The designer has used the material's components to create the down jacket which absorbs infrared light from the sun and then generates heat through the conversion process to keep wearers warm. It looks like a puffer jacket that is made from the innovative material which provides warmth in a sustainable way.
