Danish designers Niels Hvass and Christina Strand created and designed the Soft Rock modular sofa systems for Narbutas workplace furniture brand. The design's goal was to foster connectivity in modern offices while maintaining the sofas' functionality.
The modern seating arrangement is characterized by its blocky silhouette and its rounded corners. The Soft Rock modular system is informed by rocks found along the beachfront smoothened by years of crashing waves. Designed for flexible workspaces, the sofas are low-lying in response to the shift away from traditional office settings. Thus, the demand for a more relaxed and casual working space is answered in its design. Ranging in different sizes, shapes, and colors, the Soft Rock furniture can be configured into different arrangements.
