Nissan has obliterated the blizzard and winter tire stress with the Nissan 300Zki -- a functional snowmobile converting car. The model is based on the 370Z Roadster and its transformation to a vehicle, apt for the toughest of winter terrains, was no easy task. The technicians had to remove the engine and the transmission, in order to install the winter-confronting hardware, as well as "modify the suspension and the rear wheel arches" prior to placement of tracks and skis.
The performance of the 332 horsepower snowmobile converting car was tested in Wyoming, where "its performance heritage really came through." Although Nissan is debuting the 300Zki at the Chicago Auto Show, the model is one-off concept car and is not an upcoming production model, but could definitely serve as inspiration for the auto enthusiast.
