The Smart Vision EQ Concept EV is Self-driving and All-electric
Michael Hines — September 5, 2017 — Autos
The Smart Vision EQ concept is a look into the future of Smart. The Vision EQ concept represents the company's two-pronged plan for the future: electric cars and carsharing. The Smart Vision EQ concept is powered by a 30-kWh battery and when not in use it can drive itself, the car is autonomous, to a charging point. It also has screens up front and on the side it has mirrors that can display messages, such as the name of the person renting the car.
The cabin of the Smart Vision EQ concept is as futuristic as they come and contains no steering wheel, just a touchscreen and two seats. The Vision EQ concept is still a bit ahead of its time but many of its features (autonomous driving, an electric powertrain, etc...) are already being incorporated into cars today.
