The Skyryse One Helicopter is Powered by SkyOS
Michael Hemsworth — March 19, 2024 — Autos
The Skyryse One helicopter is a switch panel-free version of the flight vehicle engineered to completely transform the pilot experience. The helicopter is devoice of a complicated series of mechanical switches and components in favor of a singlestick control that's connected to the two touchscreens to provide a truly intuitive flying experience. Powered by the SkyOS, the system is rated to quickly recognize when a power failure has occurred to automatically enter into autorotation and thus automate the glide, flare and set-down.
The Skyryse One helicopter puts a triple redundant system setup in the spotlight to deliver a level of aviation safety that has previously only been seen in commercial airliners, fighter jets and spacecrafts. The helicopter could help to greatly reduce the occurrence of avoidable emergencies and accidents.
