Found within the western district of Beijing is the impressive duplex apartment entitled the Skip House, which is designed by KiKi ARCHi right in the heart of the bustling city. The apartment is home to a family of four with the occasional visits of grandparents.
Due to the residents, the Skip House is made to ensure that many generations can comfortably gather together and accommodate their various lifestyles. One of the most notable components of the house is the 'half-floor living room,' which is a design that means to connect all of the living spaces together. This means that it is able to foster a sense of closeness without disrupting privacy when that is needed.
