52-year old grandfather Micheal Baxter recently unveiled a Simpsons tattoo homage that celebrates the iconic cartoon family. The tattoo covers the Australia native's entire back and took a total of 130 hours to complete.
Created by artist Jade Baxter-Smith, this design features a detailed portrait of Homer Simpson and his wife Marge along with their kids Bart, Lisa and Maggie. While the famous family stands in the tattoo's foreground, the rest of Springfield is featured in the background with characters ranging from Marge's sisters Patty and Selma to Comic Book Guy and Sideshow Bob among others.
In addition, the inked masterpiece also features custom illustrations of Moe who stands in front of his famous tavern and the Simpsons while they take part in one of the show's famous couch gags.
Michael Baxter's Simpsons tattoo has been already been entered in the running for "most cartoon character tattoos" in the Guinness Book of World Records, a title the grandfather hopes to achieve in time for the Simpsons' 25th Anniversary.
