The Royal Canadian Mint recently unveiled its innovatively designed 2019 $50 Fine Silver Coin dubbed 'The Bumblebee and the Bloom.' On top of the 99.99% pure silver collectible, limited-edition coin designed by artist Tony Bianco is a raised pink gold-plated wild rose and a yellow gold-plated bee that has the ability to circle around the flower as the coin is tilted.
The interactive silver coin also pays tribute to the floral emblem of Alberta with additional design details of the leaves and flowers of the native plant.
Only 1,200 of The Bumblebee and the Bloom silver coins will be minted and already, The Royal Canadian Mint is noting that 95% of them have sold.
