The Milan-based architecture firm Co.arch Studio recently built a slick and stylish show kitchen for experienced candied fruit socialist Cesrain who has been operating in Italy for over a century. Using plywood, Co.arch Studio built a compact structure on the first floor of the client's existing factory between Verona and Vicenza. It is meant to act as a show kitchen, providing Cesrain with many opportunities to connect to its audiences—from hosting special live events and demonstrating new products to serving as a backdrop and hub to film videos for social media.
There are some modular aspects to the show kitchen, allowing for flexibility. The demonstration counter, for instance, can be moved around. The plywood structure also includes a kitchen, a meeting room, storage and toiled facilities.
