Most of the time when you get a flu shot, it's for your own good—but this year, Rexall Pharmacy's Shot for Shot program will deliver life-saving vaccines to kids in Uganda as well.
Rexall partnered with Amref Health Africa to launch this one-for-one initiative so that every time a flu shot is administered in North America by a Rexall pharmacist, the company will donate money to deliver vaccines to regions of northern Uganda where vaccination rates are low. As well as being a great way to encourage people in Canada to get their seasonal flu shot, this adds an extra incentive to help out a child in need of care. Derek Tupling, Rexall's director of communications notes that "When we looked at the success of our flu shot program, we wanted to leverage that success in helping the health and well being of other people and children that go beyond our borders."
