A shopping app by developers at Paidpiper called 'Ok'd' lets anybody ask family or friends for money to buy something. The app was created in order to enable dependents, such as students, to quickly get money to buy the things that they need. Instead of waiting for days for a money transfer, Ok'd works to cut the process down to a few minutes.
The app works by allowing anybody to send a request to a funder for money. Using the app, the money requester can take a picture of the item. Ok'd then automatically determines what the item is and how much it costs. A request can then be sent to the funder to pay for the item. Upon agreeing, a gift voucher is created for the price of the item and the funder's credit card is charged.
