One of the highlights of CES 2015 has been the showcasing of a new generation of Sharp LCD screens that the company claims 'simply cannot be duplicated by other companies'. The screens include a 60-inch wraparound pillar display, an 85-inch 8k LCD screen and a behemoth 120-inch 4K commercial LCD display.
The 8K LCD screen has an incredible native resolution of 7,680 x 4,320 and is claimed to be the first 8K LCD display to comply with initial 8K test broadcasts. It offers a 120 Hertz refresh rate, 12 bits per pixel and a brightness rating of 400 cd/m2, and is expected to debut in Japan in 2016.
Meanwhile, the 120-inch 4K Sharp LCD screen is the largest 4K commercial display in the world and is designed to be an alternative to public video walls and projectors in classrooms and conference venues.
