Google works in collaboration with American artist Lachlan Turczan on the Shaped by Water installation that was recently unveiled during Milan Design Week. It is a project that looks into the 'hidden qualities of water' and the installation takes place in a redeveloped industrial building by the city center -- it breaks off into three divided spaces.
The first two highlights are commissioned work by the artist including mirrored stainless steel basins that are full of water and used as large speakers. These vibrate at different frequencies and create wave patterns. The third room shows Google hardware products and how they created the performance characteristics of water. Turczan notes to Dezeen that "Sound becomes a tool that allows you to sculpt this pool of water into a dynamic shifting landscape."
