Those who participated in this weekend's Shanghai marathon will be taking home a unique and personalized momento, that reflects the runner's stats throughout different stretches of the race.
Following the completion of the race, the 30,000 runners were given the opportunity to plug their running data into a unique online platform that built a 3D visual of how the runner preformed. Through the platform, the information was converted into a colorful chart, which could be accessed from 360 degrees, helping the athlete visualize their statistics. Panning the graphic upward would prompt the chart to display additional statistics, including miles run, calories burnt and speed in comparison to other stretches in the race.
