The Seoul Givenchy Flagship store is a magnificent building that boasts a delicate facade that resembles rippled metal was designed by Italian architect Piuarch in collaboration with Creative Director Riccardo Tisci.
Located in the Gangnam-Gu shopping district of Seoul, the black box-shaped store will house the brand's fashions and is sure to stand out, as the artistic building references the work of Italian artists Enrico Castellani and Lucio Fontana.
The contemporary design is reminiscent of other recent Piuarch projects as well as textures and shapes contained in recent Givenchy collections. It also reflects the over the top nature of retail locations for other luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton and Tom Ford, symbolic of the somewhat cold and inaccessibility of the couture fashion world that undoubtedly adds to its sustained appeal.
