The 'Jardin d’Hiver' furniture collection by designer Géraldine Biard has been specially made to help promote rest and alleviate anxiety through sensory therapy.
Made specifically in mind for those suffering from the side effects of dementia, this unique range of furniture consists of a credenza, console table and two side tables. Each has been made with wood and copper materials and features a white translucent top meant to represent a soothing winter landscape of snow. Sculpted mountains on top emit an aromatic scent and a concealed light therapy lamp gives off a soothing glow from within.
By using sensory therapy, Biard has attempted to both stimulate the senses and soothe the mind by providing a safe and comforting environment through design.
