The SEA Brand Notes a Quarter of Proceeds to Poverty Tansitioning
Tiana Reid — January 27, 2013 — Social Good
Atlanta, Georgia's SEA brand has a lot of slogans to take note of. Their company name, if you knew they were a triple bottom line organization, would probably lead you to believe they were dedicated to reducing ocean waste or sea creature preservation. You've got "Sea and be seen" and also, more simply perhaps, just "Look good."
But the SEA brand commits a quarter of the proceeds from the sale of each hat to helping people transition out of poverty through the 'Community Empowerment Fund.' The social business also produces sustainable couches that give college futons a run for their money. Keep an eye out for the goods which are coming in the summer of 2013.
