Movies Anywhere recently launched its new ‘Screen Pass’ feature, which allows viewers to share rented movies with others. The platform initially began testing Screen Pass in March, as well as holding a public beta test in April. Movies Anywhere indicated that over 6,000 titles were available on Screen Pass, and since then the platform has added over 500 more films. Some of the new content includes, ‘A Star Is Born Encore,’ ‘National Treasure,’ and more.
Movies Anywhere also indicated that customers can access content in a centralized way, where the purchased film can be streamed across iTunes, Vudu, Prime Video, YouTube Xfinity and more. IT is clear that the platform is attempting to change the way viewers interact with streaming and it previously launched Watch Together, which allows users to watch content simultaneously.
