The Schwalbe Procore is a dual-chamber mountain bike tire system that increases traction and improves grip while also minimizing flat tires.
This contraption allows cyclists to install a high-pressure inner tube inside their existing tubeless tires. The tube is small enough that it still leaves air space between it and the inside wall of the tire. It can be inflated to a point where it can serve as a firm protective cushion, while providing enough pressure to keep tires securely seated on the rim.
Interestingly, even if the outer chamber is punctured or goes flat, there will still be enough air in the tube for the rider to get home.
The Schwalbe Procore system will be available at some point next year in three mountain bike wheel sizes. Each kit contains a pair of tubes, sealant and mounting accessories and will be priced at $230.
