In response to the coronavirus pandemic, Kiran Zhu created a portable sanitation kit that aims to encourage people to adopt better personal hygiene practices. Within a portable case, the Handy Capsule contains sought-after essentials like a disposable mask, hand sanitizer, temperature stickers and alcohol wipes. To make it easy to see exactly what's included in the Handy Capsule, the design of the aluminum unit has been stamped to take on the shape of its contents.
According to Zhu, "The cobblestone, or so-called 'capsule', shape of the design is easy to associate with some fashion supplies, such as beauty makeup." Unlike many public health supplies that are packaged in a way that's purely clinical, these sets are functional, aesthetically pleasing and encouraging to use.
