The Booking.com “SAND”-sion is a new sand mansion created by the company in celebration of National Sandcastle Day and offer lucky travelers with an alternative spot to stay with beachfront access.
The sand mansion is located at Luna Park in Coney Island, New York City and is achieved using nearly 100 tonnes of sand thanks to the work of sand sculptor Matt Long. The base of the sand mansion is crafted from plywood to prevent the building from collapsing, while the interior of the building is outfitted with a double bed, seating, lights and a private bathroom.
The Booking.com “SAND”-sion is available for guests starting August 22 and will only be around for a limited time to mark the end of summer.
