Samsung SmartThings Family Care Connects Caregivers to Loved Ones
Michael Hemsworth — August 14, 2024 — Lifestyle
Samsung SmartThings Family Care is a new smart home-powered service developed with caregivers in mind to help them keep a closer eye on their loved ones from afar.
The service works by leveraging the existing technology in the home including smartphones and other smart devices to keep tabs on a person's daily patterns. This information can then be used to send a notification to a loved one if an abnormality is detected, which could indicate a problem that requires immediate attention like an injury. The service can also be used to help caregivers keep on top of healthcare tasks for their loved ones like medication reminders, appointments and more.
The Samsung SmartThings Family Care service will be available within the SmartThings app under the Life tab starting August 16, 2024.
