Salignostics, a brand based in the United Kingdom and Ireland launches its progressive SaliStick pregnancy kits. It is the first over-the-counter kit that uses spit to test for conception rather than urine. According to the company, this version of a test kit uses the user to pool saliva in their mouth before adding the collection foam at the end of the wand to be rotated for 90 seconds.
Once it alters color, the collection foam can be connected to the analytical unit and get results within the span of 5 to 15 minutes. With all of the trials done clinically, it determined that the test is 95% accurate, which is only slightly lower than standard urine tests.
