Japanese design studio Kengo Kuma and Associates has just unveiled its finished design project of the Saint-Denis Pleyel Station nestled in the northern side of Paris. The space is defined by its vertical wooden louver wrapping and it is a part of the Grand Paris Express.
This is a new rapid transport system that takes users across the city's outskirts and the service changes between four metro lines. It also connects to an existing urban bridge for more access. The design studio speaks more about the design structure, sharing that "The station itself becomes a public square. It is designed as an extension of the forecourt on several levels in order to offer a real public space."
