Ruba Abu-Nimah Worked with Nike in Recreating the Air Force 1 Lows
Nike and Ruba Abu-Nimah reworked one of the most iconic sneaker silhouettes, the Air Force 1 Low. Ruba Abu-Nimah is ELLE Magazine's first-ever female creative director and the collaborative sneakers were made to fight for equality, love and acceptance. Embodying her undying commitment towards these positive, love-centric concepts, the name of the footwear piece is 'Love,' entitled to represent what it stands for as a whole.
The Nike and Ruba Abu-Nimah collaborative piece draws inspiration from a visual of a postage stamp dating back to 1984. The Love sneakers' exterior is comprised of a blend of bold colors, including bright crimson red, blue, green and yellow accents on top of a predominantly all-white canvas. The shoes became available as of April 9th for the price of $120.
