Robert Longo is an American painter, sculptor and artist. The Brooklyn-based creative has perfected his craft over several years. Many of his works are consistently being shown in exhibits all over the United States and more.
Robert Longo has a niche and love for creating vivid imagery with black & white finishes. His latest series, The Sickness of Reason, features a collection of drawings done with charcoal pencils. In this series, Robert Longo recreates huge apocalyptic explosions with immense detail. Longo drew nuclear mushroom cloud explosions that once happened in Hiroshima and even tests done during the cold war era.
The end results are stunning and it is amazing to see what he can recreate with just a few pencils. I would love to own one of these drawings one day.
