'Rise' is a new software startup that has launched its workplace-focused Rise calendar app. This application is unique when compared to popular calendar management services because of the importance it places on preference. Rise recognizes that, while a worker may have free time in a day, that worker may not want to take a meeting during that free time.
When users sign up for Rise they must fill out a small form that asks a variety of questions, such as what time in a day you prefer to take a meeting, or what days of the week you prefer to focus on work-related tasks. Then, when a workplace is set up on Rise, scheduling meetings with certain staff is as simple as telling the calendar to "schedule a meeting with" any employee, and the application will automatically generate a time that meets the preferences of each worker involved in the meeting.
