After 132 years of bringing daring stunts, amazing acrobatics, and animals to fans around the world, the Ringling Bros. are pulling down the circus tent for good. But as a testament to how far the world-famous circus has come during its more than a century of performing, the Ringling Bros. final show will be available for free through streaming on Facebook Live.
To be sure, the Ringling Bros. performers will be doing their show live in person as well. The May 21st ultimate finale will take place at the Nassau Veteran's Memorial Coliseum in Long Island. That performance will also be shown on Facebook Live while its happening, with the video remaining available to stream for a few days after the performance.
According to the AP, Ringling is shuttering its tent flaps due to a "declining audience...combined with high operating costs, changing public tastes, and prolonged battles with animal rights groups."
