Twitter is now adding a new function that lets all users on the platform restrict replies to tweets. Initially, the feature was trialed in a beta test, however it will now be available to all iUS and Android users, and also on the platform's website. The new function was added in order to increase instances of productive conversations on the platform by allowing all users to reduce spam replies. Users can restrict replies by selecting the globe button at the bottom of the tweet section. However, no restrictions will be in place by default.
OVerall the new feature may help the platform improve interactions, as well as make people more comfortable knowing they can limit who can and can reply to a tweet.
