Designer Nathalie Van der Massen created the REN series, which is a collection of delicate room dividers that create an immediate sense of privacy and transparency all at once. It is made up of three limited room dividers in total: a four-panel divider, and two two-panel dividers. Notably, these are crafted from a natural material palette which is inspired by Belgian textile themes.
Van der Massen ensures that these seamlessly blend together linen, wool, paper, and yarns into unique fabric wefts to result in materials that border the line of design, architecture, and art all at once. The designer shares, “I wanted to create. A foundation, a framework for my custom textile designs that is scalable in various ways and can be integrated into different contexts and styles. Something timeless yet adaptable to different projects."
