The RemoFinger Puts Virtual Effect Controls At Your Feet
Rahul Kalvapalle — July 21, 2015 — Tech
The RemoFinger is a foot controller, developed and currently being crowdfunded by South Korea's Wifo Corporation, that is capable of wirelessly activating on-screen stomp switches. While placed on the floor, the controller communicates with the on-screen interface using 'finger tips' hooked up to the tablet display.
The system consists of two parts. A quadrant of colored Touch Pointers are placed above the smart device display. The other end is plugged into a special tablet console that wirelessly connects to the pedal board using ZigBee technology. ZigBee uses less juice than Bluetooth and offers a wireless range of 15 meters.
The RemoFinger is designed for guitarists who want to be able to expand their repertoire of sounds and effects but want to do so without compromising on their fundamental musical performance.
