REEF Technology, a company specializing in "ghost kitchen" operation and development, has teamed up with Hubb Kitchens to open an all-new virtual kitchen at Raleigh-Durham International Airport, which will be located in terminal two of the airport.
Now, visitors will be able to order from nine popular food brands, including Rebel Wings, 800 Degrees Pizza, Pei Wei, Krispy Rice, Cantina Grill, Zinburger, and more. In addition, they can do so directly from their smartphones or from in-airport kiosks. What this means is that customers can place and pay for their orders from their phones without needing to wait in lines or interact with staff. Once ordered, their food can be picked up at designated REEF lockers.
“The virtual kitchen uses cutting edge technology to provide more dining options, added convenience, and a contactless ordering and payment experience," said Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority CEO Michael Landguth.
