Designing packaging for a product opens up so many opportunities for developing unique brand identities, and this concept for Reboot Energy branding takes full advantage of this.
A student of Ireland's Cork University, David O'Sullivan chose to work with a fictional make of energy-boosting products targeted primarily towards athletes. With the wondrous effects of the Guarana plant in mind as the active ingredient, the creative conceived a visual aesthetic inspired by chemistry and computing.
Where a slow computer may require a restart to get it back into gear, the designer chose to use the same metaphor for the human body. "Power" or "On" button symbols are incorporated as O's with the energy drink bottle packaging, and Reboot Energy branding is given an industrial polish with shiny metal receptacles.
