ReadyGo is an artist-led community development initiative, that's connecting local governments with artists who can create engaging installations for neighborhood dwellers to interact with.
The service stands as an online marketplace, which enables community groups or organizations to select installations they believe would fit into their neighborhood. The only requirement of the artists, is that the installations are mobile, making for an unobtrusive addition to a community. One of the standout designs, titled "Free Speech Machine' was displayed in Fridley, Minnesota, and invited individuals to announce what they wanted to see change in their community, with the help of a soapbox and a big red microphone.
These products hope to change communities in a manner that's warm, inclusive and collaborative.
