The Qminder app comes from Estonia and recently won the Garage48 hackathon event in Tartu, Estonia. The app is designed to work with the iPhone, Android and Nokia handsets. Users simply download the app and take a virtual number from a business they want to visit. The app gives users a quoted wait time and a reminder when their turn in line is coming up. The app is still currently in beta testing, with no timetable on when it will be available to the masses or who would be participating.
