PUBG Mobile Debuts Changes to Its Esports Partnership Program in SEA
References: pubgmobile & esportsinsider
PUBG Mobile has introduced the PUBG Mobile Partnership Program. Southeast Asia will be the first region to adopt the new format for its esports ecosystem. The program will help players secure spots in the PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) and PUBG Mobile Super League (PMSL).
The PMPL SEA championship will be replaced by the PUBG Mobile Super League SEA, which will serve as the new “top-tier” tournament in the area. The best teams from PMPL will compete in the PMPL and PMSL after being promoted to PMSL. Regardless of PMPL placement, every team in the partnership program will have a set spot in PMSL.
The changes come from the increasing popularity of PUBG Mobile in Southeast Asia. The game has a peak viewership of over 3.8 million in the region.
